El club Wheel Power FC de Inglaterra pasó la historia. ¿Por su juego? No, porque metió la goleada más abultada de la historia del fútbol. ¿El resultado? Ganó 58 goles a 0 al Nova 2010 FC, dos equipos que militan en la Torbay League.
En el primer tiempo, se fueron a los vestuarios 20-0. Los héroes del Wheel fueron los hermanos Robbie y Stuart Bower, quiene convirtieron 28 goles entre los dos.
La principal razón de esta estrepitosa derrota fue la falta de jugadores del Nova, que se vio obligado a salir con sólo cinco jugadores del club y terminó jugando con nueve, después de invitar a cuatro desconocidos a enfrentarse a los 11 del equipo contrario.
Stuart Bowker, jugador de Wheel Power -que anotó 10 goles- contó que cuando estaban en 50 a 0, los jugadores del Nova le pidieron al árbitro que terminará el partido, pero el juez les advirtió que si hacía eso habría sanciones por lo que tuvieron que aguantar unos 8 goles más.

The english Power Wheel FC has made history. Why? Because they made the most lopsided win in the history of football. The result? They won 58 goals to 0 at the Nova 2010 FC, two teams who play in the Torbay League.
