La modelo estadounidense de origen brasileño Sheyla Hershey, protagonizó un accidente del que pudo salir con vida gracias a sus grandes pechos, que amortiguaron el impacto del choque de su auto contra un árbol.
Hershey, residente en la pequeña ciudad de Humble, Texas, se dirigía a su casa cuando su coche se salió de la carretera y se estampó contra un árbol.
La modelo no llevaba puesto el cinturón de seguridad y el airbag no se activó pero sí lo hicieron sus "airbag" artificiales, los implantes mamarios que le concedieron el Guinness y que en esta ocasión amortiguaron el impacto.
“Me salvaron la vida, mis pechos amortiguaron el impacto del golpe. Sin ellos, estaría muerta”, afirmó Hershey en un informativo de la televisión local.
Sin embargo, los implantes mamarios le ocasionaron bastantes problemas a Hershey. En verano de 2010 sufrió una infección en ellos y unos meses después fue sometida a una intervención para quitarle parte de los implantes.

"En el proceso faltaba la información de que Nelson era mendigo, hecho que no fue abordado por la defensa para no estigmatizar aún más a un reo que tiene condición de trastorno mental", indicó el IDDD. "Era innecesario entrar en la discusión de si era mendigo porque no fue solicitada su prisión domiciliaria, se pidió su libertad", precisó el abogado Marcelo Feller. En su decisión, el juez Figueiredo Gonçalves señala que Da Silva no debería ser internado, ya que no cometió un crimen con violencia o una amenaza grave, pero por otro lado considera que no puede estar en libertad porque podría reincidir en los delitos juzgados. De ahí la decisión de arresto domiciliario. Marcelo Feller cree que la próxima semana el juez modificará la decisión y dará a Da Silva "un beneficio compatible con su situación".

Corre 500 maratones en 500 días

El corredor navarro y récord Guiness Ricardo Abad ha alcanzado hoy en Barcelona la marca de 500 maratones en 500 días.
"Que la gente lo viese como algo imposible es lo que lo ha hecho bonito, es genial cuando tienes algo en contra y aún asi consigues tu objetivo salvando las adversidades", ha declarado en el puerto olímpico de Barcelona tras terminar la última maratón de este particular récord.
Candidato en 2009 al Premio Príncipe de Asturias de los Deportes, el pasado octubre entró en el libro Guiness de los récords al sumar 366 maratones consecutivos, superando al belga Stefan Engel.
Este navarro de 41 años ha recorrido en 500 días un total de 21.097,5 kilómetros en más de 2.000 horas, visitando las cincuenta capitales de provincia españolas y participando en trece maratones oficiales. Abad ha tenido que utilizar unos veinticinco pares de zapatillas.
El corredor no quiso abandonar su trabajo de siempre en una fundición, por lo que cuando terminaba el turno se vestía de corto y, con dos aparatos GPS para validar las horas recorridas, se lanzaba a correr cuatro horas de media diarias.
"No solo hay que estar preparado físicamente, sino también mentalmente convencido de lo que haces. Tienes crisis y días en los que se pasa mal. Pero hoy es un día que difícilmente olvidaré" reconoció Abad.
Ricardo ha recaudado un total 12.600 euros que donará a la Asociación Navarra en favor de Personas con Discapacidad Intelectual .

He ran 500 marathons in 500 days

The spanish runner and Guinness recordman  Ricardo Abad has reached today in Barcelona the mark of 500 marathons in 500 days.
"People saw it as impossible and that's what has made it beautiful, it's great when you have something against you and you still achieve your goal " said the in Olympic Port of Barcelona after finishing the last marathon of this record.
Candidate in 2009 Prince of Asturias Award for Sports, he entered last October in the Guinness Book of Records by running 366 consecutive marathons, beating belgian Stefan Engel.
This 41-year-old man, has traveled a total of 21,097.5 kilometres in over 2,000 hours, visiting  fifty spanish cities and participating in thirteen official marathons. Abad has had to use about twenty pairs of shoes.
The runner didn't want to leave his work in a foundry, so when he finished the turn he started to run four hours on average per day with two GPS devices to validate it.
"You don't have to be prepared just physically, you have to be mentally convinced of what you do. You have some crisis and days that are going wrong. But today is a day that i will hardly forget" said Abad.
Ricardo has raised a total of 12,600 euros that he donated to the Navarra Association for People with Intellectual Disability.

Una mujer adelanta su parto para que su marido vea al bebé antes de morir

En ocasiones vemos noticias trágicas que nos conmueven, esta es una de ellas.

Una joven de Dallas llamada Diane Aulger, de 31 años, provocó su parto 15 días antes de lo previsto para que su marido, Mark Aulger, pudiera conocer a su hija antes de morir.
Mark Aulger recibió un diagnóstico de cáncer de colon el pasado abril. El tratamiento quirúrgico y la quimioterapia parecieron funcionar en un principio, pero luego desarrolló una fibrosis pulmonar. El 15 de enero comunicaron a la pareja que Mark Aulger estaba en estado terminal.
Cuando Diane Aulger preguntó cuánto tiempo le quedaba a su marido, la respuesta fue que apenas cinco o seis días.
El nacimiento del bebé no estaba previsto hasta 15 días más tarde, pero la pareja decidió adelantar el parto y Mark Aulger llegó a sostener a su hija durante 45 minutos.
"Lloró y parecía muy triste" contó su mujer. Mark Aulger murió cinco días más tarde a los 52 años.

Un juez le obliga a tener una cita con su esposa

Joseph Bray, de 47 años, fue condenado por un juez de Estados Unidos a tener una cita con su esposa Sonja, de 39 años. Estará obligado a comprarle flores, arreglarse, pasear con ella, llevarla a cenar y además impuso a la pareja a asistir a un consejero matrimonial.
Un hombre se olvidó del cumpleaños de su esposa y como consecuencia ahora deberá tener con ella citas románticas.
Joseph Bray fue denunciado por su esposa tras una discusión, en la que ella le acuso de no desearle un feliz cumpleaños. Además su mujer Sonja afirma que su marido la empujó y la agarró del cuello durante la pelea.
“El juzgado normalmente no dictaría esta sentencia, se entiende que sí existió algún tipo de violencia, pero fue muy, muy menor, por lo que decidió tomar esa resolución y emitir una sentencia de este tipo”, señaló el juez John Hurley.
La sentencia finalmente obliga al hombre a satisfacer a su esposa con una cita. Sin embargo si no cumple podría recibir severos castigos, incluso podría terminar en prisión.

Tres hermanas sufren el síndrome del hombre lobo

Savita, Monisha y Savitri Sangli son tres hermanas que viven en un pueblo cerca de Pune, en la India. Todas ellas sufren desde que nacieron hipertricosis, también conocido como síndrome del lobo.
Se trata de una mutación genética que provoca que las células encargadas del crecimiento del pelo se sitúen por todo el cuerpo y nazca vello desmesuradamente en todas partes.

Este síndrome lo heredaron de su padre, el cual falleció hace poco. Su madre, Anita, explica que se tuvo que casar obligada a los 12 años ya que los padres de ambos habían hecho un trato y en India en aquella época si eras mujer y te negabas a casarte te mataban. "Me sentí horrorizada la primera vez que le vi" cuenta.

Las 3 chicas intentan hacer vida normal dentro de lo que su enfermedad les permite. Debido a ella han sufrido frecuentes burlas en el instituto y piensan que el matrimonio nunca será una opción para ellas.

La familia de las jóvenes, muy humilde, no puede costearse las operaciones que necesitan debido a su alto precio (5.300 euros por cada una). Por el momento utilizan crema depilatoria diariamente aunque no les sirve de mucho ya que el crecimiento del vello es muy rápido.

Sneh Gupta, un productor de documentales, esta planeando hacer uno sobre sus vidas para intentar conseguir dinero para las operaciones y hacer que cumplan sus sueños.
